Mr. Elly Gotz

Elly Gotz is a Holocaust survivor, a retired engineer, a businessman, a pilot and author of “Flights of Spirit”.

I share my story with around 25,000 students a year in schools and universities in Canada and the U.S.A via Zoom and Google Meet. My story focuses on teaching tolerance and an understanding of the conditions that bring about genocide.

Flights of Spirit

On November 7th, 2018, as part of Neuberger Holocaust Education Week, Elly Gotz launched his memoir Flights of Spirit in partnership with the Azrieli Foundation’s Holocaust Survivor Memoirs Program. Renowned Holocaust scholar Dr. Robert Jan van Pelt joined Elly in a discussion about survival, resilience, and hope at the launch.

The book is available in soft cover on Amazon and Second Story Press, and is also available as an Audio Book on Audible, Kobo, Google Play, and Apple Books.

Public Speaking

I welcome invitations to speak to schools and universities through Zoom and Google Meet. I speak about my own experience in the Holocaust and draw conclusions leading to my views on tolerance and awareness of political trends.
